How to install

  1. Tap Download APK above on your Android phone.
  2. Open the downloaded file from your notification shade or Downloads app.
  3. If prompted, allow installs from this source: Android will show a dialog the first time — tap Settings, then enable Allow from this source for your browser or file manager app, then go back and tap Install. (Exact wording varies slightly by Android version and manufacturer, but it's always a one-time per-app toggle under Settings › Apps › Special access › Install unknown apps.)
  4. Once installed, open PeopleFirewall and log in with your peoplefirewall.com account.
This is a direct install (sideload), not from the Google Play Store — Android shows an "unknown source" warning the first time for exactly this reason. The SHA-256 checksum above lets you verify the file wasn't altered in transit; compare it against the value shown after running sha256sum PeopleFirewall-1.0.0.apk (or an equivalent checksum tool) on the file you downloaded.
